The HKSG offers NDIS participants living within the Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai area support with community participation not readily available, and on terms that commercial providers are not in a position to offer. For example, service cancellations are common, and attract penalty fees. Clients whose condition is characterised by sudden onset fatigue are frequently adversely impacted by these fees which, as a not-for-profit, the HKSG does not charge.
In response to the pandemic dual kayaking is offered as a healthy and safe one-on-one outdoor activity. In addition to dual kayaking for exercise the option to kayak for fishing is also provided. All equipment, safety devices and fishing tackle is provided, and for added comfort stabalisers are fitted.

Presently this activity is only available to males as we currently lack an experienced female kayaker.

Please note that due to the pandemic group and indoor community participation support services are suspended for the foreseeable future. While this is immensely disappointing we think that under the circumstances activities such as kayaking offer a safe and healthy alternative.
